Permission to Pause
I'm pretty sure we all have heard the phrase, "work hard, play hard", but oftentimes we forget the play hard part. We are living in a time where we forget to pause and refill our buckets. It's okay to take time for yourself and in fact, it's necessary to fully be present in the things you need to get done daily.
So, what does it truly mean to give yourself permission to pause? It can vary for different people but it's time set aside just for you to reset and recharge whether it's from a busy day, unfortunate news, or hectic week. 2020 has been an exhausting year for us all so making time for yourself if something we should all prioritize. Pausing is essential for self-care and can be helpful in managing stress to make us more mindful of our emotional, physical and mental well-being. We will always have more to do, but giving yourself that permission and implementing that pause in your self-care practice can really make a significant difference in your life.
November is quickly approaching! Begin to think about how and when you will pause. Whether it's a massage, meditation, reading a book for leisure, do it and do it consistently. Make the time to invest in yourself and pause.
